In this video Peter Donnelly talked a lot about the different of the brain and how statistics can influence a person's behavior and opinion over a given subject. Once your subconscious mind here's information that you've never heard before then it assumes that is correct so once The 12 angry men heard about where the boy was from they automatically assumed that he was of that origins and that he was guilty. In the play one man steps out of his comfort zone to make others believe that he is correct in that the boys innocent of the crime first he often doubt everything that everyone else is saying because he doesn't know it's 100% sure. And because he's not 100% sure he brings of little details that would change the other 11 men minds. The speaker often talks about how statistics is in every form of life and can help you in any situation especially in a courtroom where very critical information is on the line to determine how the rest of someone's life will be spent.
